Vinted Members Express Anger About Sizing Changes
Members of the platform have expressed outrage after an update resulted in products showing incorrect sizing.
The popular resale platform has updated its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel but did not contact all users about the change.

Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification versus the original listing due to the recalibration.
The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with other platforms.
It has advised users to check their listings and adjust the sizing manually when needed, causing user dissatisfaction.
Size Classification Updates
Earlier, the measurements included one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range such as S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.
User Accounts
A fashion influencer, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as larger sizing 20-22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they're going to be very disappointed," she explained.
Manual Updates
A different user, based in Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount following partial earnings loss," she said.
Platform Context
The service features exceeding 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has proved a popular alternative compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: last year, Vinted reversed a change to its shipping options due to shopper criticism.
